Participatory Art Installation DANDELION PROJECT to be Featured at Nighttime Event Hikari no Mori – A Nighttime Art Walk

DANDELION PROJECT, a participatory art installation by artist Ryotaro Muramatsu, will be showcased at Hikari no Mori – A Nighttime Art Walk, a featured evening event of the contemporary art festival Rokko Meets Art 2025 beyond, one of the most prominent art festivals in the Kansai region.

Set in the Rock Garden of the Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden, the installation creates a fantastical space where light and nature harmonize in a serene, immersive experience.

The event will run on weekends and holidays from Saturday, September 20 to Sunday, November 30, 2025.

An Art Experience in Harmony with the Nature of Mt. Rokko

At Hikari no Mori – A Nighttime Art Walk, visitors will encounter DANDELION PROJECT, an interactive art piece that invites them to blow on a dandelion-shaped object, sending their wishes for peace into the world as digital dandelion fluff. Surrounding the installation, light-based expressions inspired by alpine flowers such as Chinguruma, which naturally bloom in the botanical garden, will illuminate the area with ethereal laser art.

The entire Rock Garden becomes a canvas where light, nature, and human intention intertwine—creating a one-of-a-kind participatory art experience.
