Christmas Art from W Osaka to the World, Praying for Peace

Luxury lifestyle hotel W Osaka (Location: 4-1-3 Minami-Senba, Chuo-ku, Osaka; General Manager: Go Kondo) will hold its first collaboration event with creative company NAKED, INC. (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Ryotaro Muramatsu), a creative company, will hold its first collaborative event “W Osaka × NAKED, INC. Xmas Garden” from December 15 to December 25, 2022.

Participatory art project that has been well-received both in Japan and abroad comes to W Osaka!　A limited Christmas production that can only be seen here.

The “DANDELION PROJECT,” a participatory art project by Ryotaro Muramatsu, artist and representative of Naked, will be exhibited on the 4th floor “WET DECK” as a symbolic art monument and Christmas tree of the event.

DANDELION PROJECT is an art project in which “DANDELION” dandelion art objects are installed around the world to make flowers, a symbol of peace, bloom all over the world, and has been deployed in major cities in Japan and abroad.

In addition to the 20-minute production of the DANDELION PROJECT, a special 5-minute Christmas-themed production created exclusively for W Osaka will be held at the WET DECK, which is decorated with light art by Naked, and the lighting will be linked to the DANDELION experience to further enhance the Christmas mood. Creative supervision and music production will be handled by W Osaka’s music and entertainment director, Yuki Yoshiyama. Please enjoy a special Christmas moment with original cocktails and champagne in one hand and light art, production, and music in the other.

About DANDELION PROJECT

The DANDELION PROJECT is an art project by artist Ryotaro Muramatsu to install dandelion art objects “DANDELION” around the world and make flowers, a symbol of peace, bloom around the world. When visitors hold up their smartphones to the “DANDELION”, their wishes for peace are carried on digital dandelion fluff, which is then connected via the network to other locations around the world where “DANDELION” has been planted, delivering digital flowers in real time.

This will be the third “DANDELION PROJECT” exhibition in Osaka Prefecture, following “OSAKA Hikari no Renaissance 2021” in 2021 and “Umekita Sotoniwa SQUARE” in October 2022.
