New Art Project “Breath / Bless Project” Launched.In an era of division, a prayer for peace from Tokyo to the world.

Ryotaro Muramatsu / NAKED’s new artwork “Dandelion”, the main installation of “Breath / Bless Project”, will be exhibited at the “12th Shibuya Art Festival 2020 – SHIBUYA ART SCRAMBLE -” from November 9 to 15.

Dandelion” is an installation work in which you blow on a dandelion to make the fluff fly. The “Breath / Bless Project” is a worldwide project of art that starts with “Dandelion,” which has been installed in various locations around the world, and connects people’s prayers for peace through a network.

Spreading the Seeds of Prayer from Shibuya, Japan’s Diversity Center, to the World

Shibuya, Tokyo is home to a diverse mix of cultures.The city has attracted much attention from overseas and is considered the origin of diversity cities in Japan.The “Shibuya Art Festival” is a cultural promotion project with a long history that has taken root in Shibuya since 2009.

The theme of this year’s event, the 12th, is “CULTURE CONNECT. We aim to create a Shibuya that connects the city with the city, people with people, the past with the present, and the present with the future through art.In order to realize this, we will hold an art festival that can only be held in Shibuya for 7 days, including art exhibits, art workshops, talk sessions, etc., at various locations around Shibuya Station and other areas. The “Breath / Bless Project” will also participate in this Shibuya Art Festival as a project to connect the world.

Dandelion” will be exhibited at MIYASHITA PARK, a new commercial facility that opened this summer in Shibuya, where people of all nationalities, races, and ideologies gather.It is a place where anyone can visit and be accepted, where the prayers and thoughts of various people bloom beautiful flowers all over the place and are delivered to the world on dandelion fluff.As a creative company headquartered in Shibuya, Naked will start the “Breath / Bless Project” from its base in Shibuya, and will connect prayers for peace throughout the world.

Crowdfunding on CAMPFIRE

Starting September 10, a crowdfunding campaign is underway on CAMPFIRE to solicit supporters for the “Breath / Bless Project”.The funds will be used to install “Dandelion,” the main installation of the “Breath / Bless Project,” in Japan and abroad, and to build a global network that connects the world through the power of art.

ABOUT  Breath / Bless Project

Breath / Bless Project” is a project-based artwork by Ryotaro Muramatsu / NAKED.

The aim of the project is to connect people’s prayers for peace in real time by installing “Dandelion,” an interactive artwork in various locations around the world, in which dandelions are covered with fluff that dances when you blow on them.

The project started with the artist’s wish to connect people through gentle feelings of peace and tranquility in a world where there are various divisions.

Just like a child blowing dandelion fluff with a wish, when you blow on “Dandelion,” the fluff that flies up will reach a faraway city and bloom beautiful flowers there.

Anyone can become a part of this artwork anywhere in the world, not only through the installations located in various locations, but also through online participation.

The network of real and virtual connections between people itself becomes art that transcends national borders and blooms all over the world.
