On December 12, 2023, Ryotaro Muramatsu was joined by representatives from Hieizan Enryakuji Temple as a guest speaker from Japan at an event held at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador to the United States in Washington D.C. to commemorate the first U.S.-Japan Tourism Exchange Year established between the governments of the United States and Japan.
