DANDELION” exhibited at a huge terminal station in Shanghai

Naked Inc. (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Ryotaro Muramatsu) is currently exhibiting the video works of “DANDELION PROJECT” on LED vision at 「TODTIME 时间廊」(上海市闵行区莘庄地铁站南出口), which will be held from November 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024. The video work of “DANDELION PROJECT” is now being exhibited with LED vision at the “TODTIME TIME 时间廊第十五季公共艺术展——《梦》.

DANDELION PROJECT”, an artwork of peace

DANDELION PROJECT” by artist Ryotaro Muramatsu is an art project to install the dandelion art object “DANDELION” around the world and make flowers, a symbol of peace, bloom around the world. So far, “DANDELION PROJECT” has been exhibited in 51 locations around the world, including Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris, and San Francisco.

This year’s exhibition is co-hosted with the 15th public art exhibition, “TODTIME时间廊第十五季公共艺术展–《梦》,” and the LED vision production of the “DANDELION PROJECT” has been realized. A video work of dandelion fluff projected on giant pillars extending to the ceiling of the underground terminal, dancing and spreading around the world, is now on display.

TODTIME Time Gallery, the exhibition site, is located at the subway station of Jiaozhuang, one of the most popular terminal stations in Shanghai, where approximately 200,000 bus and train passengers are said to pass through every day. It continues to transmit the beauty and power of art to the people of Shanghai.

The TODTOWN complex where the gallery is located is currently under development for completion in 2027 as one of the largest hubs in China, integrating multifunctional urban spaces such as office towers, shopping malls, residences, and public spaces with a terminal station. After its completion, a centralized interchange will be realized to shorten commuting time, and the number of passengers is expected to double from the current 200,000 to 400,000 per day.
